I don't play poker but love all the analogies and now, reading all your Substack from the beginning is truly a gift. Keep writing! My husband and I refuse to fly these days but when I did, I definitely went for the window seat with the shade open. Car trips are even better for looking out at the world!
I totally agree about looking out the window on flights--it's why I always try to book a window seat--and I think it's nuts that people pull the shade down during daylight flights. Looking forward to hearing about your new projects in the works.
