Go on. Experiment. Iterate. Go on sniffling. Find your own unique path that resonates with you before anything. Along the way, you will know who you are and what you're good at. I have heard something say that you first write for yourself and then edit for the audience. Off to you now

I had no idea about online staking - that's really interesting!

Yeah! It's a pretty fun ecosystem.

Hope you and Nate keep us informed of how the WSOP goes for you. Before it starts which events are you planning to play in? What's the bankroll you're playing with? How much does Pokerstars cover in major series like this?

Good luck to you and I look forward to following the journey

My schedule will be fluid, depending on how I'm doing and how I'm feeling. I'll be there for the first week, then traveling, then back again, then traveling again, and then back for the Main until the end. I have a max budget for myself, but no one ever wants to hit that! We will talk details on the pod!

I am so so sorry for your loss. She sounds amazing and I remember her from the book too. May her memory be a comfort and a blessing.

And of course you have the freedom to write whatever you want about whatever you want, which is about as much freedom as a writer can ask for, or expect. Congratulations for that too.

You made me think of my career writing book reviews for the NYT. Said career consisted of one review;) I really liked the book, which was great, but in the process I was thinking about how much I would not have wanted to write a review if I had really disliked it, so I retired. ...Congrats! And in the interest of promoting the positive (I've heard coaches use the term "puppy training": ignore bad, reinforce good) I vote for more Game of Thrones mixed with literary wisdom please. And now I shall go back to being quiet as I observe my house words: "When My Book Is Done."

I stopped journaling/writing during the height of the pandemic. The lack of a physical writing community sent me to social media for connection.

I thought about Substack, but like you mentioned, I initially felt like I’d be pulled into a commitment that I didn’t want. Now I’m reconsidering.

Looking forward to reading your writings. Oh, and the podcast too.

Beautiful poem I’ve never seen, thank you! And looking forward to discovering more about you, as you write for you, and me, and the “we”. 🙂
